Dear Friends of Wakelon,

I am very happy to write you on behalf of Friends of Wakelon, Inc. to invite you to a school wide reunion that promises to be a grand time  filled with memories,  warmth, laughter, and renewal.  Enjoy good food, good friends, fellowship, and fun!

        SAVE  THE  DATES  -  APRIL 21,  APRIL 22, 2012. 

This is an ambitious, but very worthwhile and exciting undertaking, and we need your help in gauging interest and knowing how to plan. Below is a tentative schedule of events:

Saturday, April 21,2012      
Site:  Zebulon Municipal Complex  (Formerly Wakelon School)

9:00 AM - noon   Wakelon School Classic Car Cruz-In,  DJ Steve Dement

10:00 - noon  Class Assemblies and tour of Wakelon buildings and Wakelon Centennial Plaza.  Enjoy a walk down Memory Lane!

12:00 noon   Barbecue Lunch on the campus, remarks, Eddie Strickland Band
    Slide show by David Hawkins

Afternoon - 5:00  Reminisce,  renew friendships on campus, photo opportunities        
    Golf outing,  tour Mudcat Stadium on your own.

6:30 - 11:30 PM  Homecoming Dance at Zebulon Community Center
    (formerly Zebulon Armory) featuring the Craig Woolard Band

Sunday, April 22,2012
    Worship attendance at the church of your choice
    Brunch at Cattails Restaurant at Mudcat Stadium

Projected Prices*:
Saturday 9:00 - 5:00, includes lunch                                                  $30 per person
6:30 - 11:30 PM, Homecoming Dance, includes hors d’oeuvres        $25 per person
Sunday Brunch                                                                                   $20 per person

Attend everything  for $75, or pick the individual events of your choice for less.

*Prices are subject to change.  Vendors say that it is too early now to give firm quotes for food.  Saturday’s event price includes tent fees, table and chair rental, security, d. j., insurance, parking assistance, and lunch.
