Attend meetings and share information with others. Monthly meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month, at 7 PM, at the home of Jenny Privette.

BRICK CAMPAIGN


Purchase and promote the sale of memorial bricks and pavers. The renovation on the Wakelon Campus is providing Friends of Wakelon, Inc. supporters the opportunity to become a lasting and visible component of this transformation. Click here to see before and after concept images. Timeless, distinctive bricks will be engraved with the text of your choice and proudly installed for public display. Etch your name on the Zebulon landscape. Put your name on a brick or paver at the Wakelon Centennial Courtyard located on the Zebulon Municipal Complex. Then buy one to honor a friend, relative, teacher, or loved one.

For a donation of $100, Friends of Wakelon, Inc. will place a 4 by 8 inch brick in the donor plaza. The bricks hold up to three lines of text and seventeen characters, including spaces, per line.

A donation of $200 places an 8 by 8 inch paver, up to six lines, thirteen characters per line, including spaces.

For $500, a 12 by 24 inch granite paver can be placed. These pavers have four lines of text, holding approximately fifty characters, including spaces, per marker.

Inscriptions will be centered on the bricks, in all capital letters. Please count one space for each letter, punctuation mark, or blank space used.

Guidelines

Friends of Wakelon, Inc. has established guidelines for inscriptions in order to safeguard the positive image we wish to maintain. All inscriptions are subject to Town Board approval. Please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure that your personalized brick will be displayed:

  • No obscenities or profanities.
  • No acronyms that could be construed as obscene or profane.
  • No derogatory messages (explicit or implied) based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation.
  • No sexually explicit or double entendre messages.
  • No derogatory message regarding any individual or entity.
  • No political messages.

    All donations will be recorded in a Friends of Wakelon, Inc. REGISTRY which will be displayed at the new Zebulon Town Hall.

    DONATE MEMORABILIA

    Participate in collecting "Old Wakelon" memorabilia. Do you have a cheerleader uniform?  A copy of Bulldog Barks?  Words to our school song?   Donations can be delivered to Lisa Markland at the current Zebulon Town Hall. Your names and gifts will be included in the registry.  As items come in, we will need help with inventorying them for display. 

    HELP WITH FUND RAISING

    Help raise funds and support projects. Would you like to host or attend a pig pickin’, cocktail party, cookout, etc., with proceeds to go to Friends of Wakelon? Please contact a board member to offer your help.
